The Brief

The Grid Gallery and Taronga Zoo have partnered with Electrofringe/This is Not Art, to request quality film works on the topic of Biodiversity. These two corporate sponsors have joined with an alternative arts venue like Electrofringe/This is Not Art to encourage urban and regional media artists to take up the politics of Biodiversity, relaying their ideas via their medium. In turn, Taronga Zoo is extending their online platform to the Grid Gallery's public forum to share stories on sustaining endangered habitats and the preservation of threatened wildlife.

Taronga Conservation Society Australia has developed a website and blog to archive and disseminate information on how to make a difference both at home and on a global scale

Special consideration will be given to Electrofringe exhibitors excited about utilising Grid Gallery as a distributed site for their festival pieces.
